[camp series]

summer artscamp

For kids!

Monday July 12-Friday July 16  9am-1pm

Know any kiddo S’campers who love to craft and have the desire and focus to spend time on projects throughout the week? This S'camp is for them! The art will mostly be sustainable, recycled and natural materials. S’campers will have the opportunity to explore new tinkering tools and methods. Projects will be based on the process not product philosophy, with each S’camper focusing on their own creative goals and vision within the boundary of the materials and tools provided.

 

Age range is 7-10 years old. But the most important thing is that they are able to create with joy and focus, are self regulated, and that their parents are comfortable with them using tools and techniques that require some care and safety.

 

The day will look sorta/ish like this (artScamp’s mission is to support creative flow, which can be hijacked by strict scheduling.)

9am drop off & welcoming

9:20 intro & instruction for project of the day, followed by:

project work (with snack/bathroom/milling about breaks as needed)

11:45  lunch break/play

return to project for a bit

12:45 clean up

1pm pick up

 

Camp will be held outside and each S'camper will have their own distanced space. S’campers will bring their own lunches and snacks.

$399 for the week (5 days) plus one $25 materials fee.

create Custom rubber stamps

Sunday, November 7th, 2021  2-5pm

$50 (paid in advance via venmo or paypal)

"How did you do that?" If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that about one of my home-carved stamp projects, I could offer you this workshop for free! Come design, carve and print your own creation. Then you can bring it to use at the Holiday Greeting Card Extravaganza in December :)

 

Includes instruction, materials & tools, crafty companionship, bandaids, and some kind of snacki-poo.

 

Minimum 3 / Maximum 6 participants. RSVP

 

Prerequisite — must have some experience using simple tools, or the willingness to learn (and maybe mess up)!

 

18+ event. Participants must be vaccinated.

let's get our vision ON! what shall we look forward to this year? can you picture it?? let's collage it!

 

We will supply magazines, scissors, glue, paper crafting, cardboard and general reflective vibe. oh, and probably some rosé. and some chips. and this lamp. Bring a snack to share an any old magazines you may have lying around.

holiday  Greeting Card Smorgasbord

OPEN HOuse & grand Opening!

Sunday, December 1st, 2019  3-7pm

$15 suggested donation at door (venmo, paypal or cash accepted)

Feeling like those snapfish photo holiday cards just aren't saying what you really want to say, or maybe they are saying things you don't? Let's make a bunch of cards so you can send your end of year news in the manner it deserves. We have tons of rubber stamps, paper punches, card stock, paints, markers, eyelets and more — you can finally say everything! Bonus points: bring postage stamps and your address book and get this sh** done and done.

 

Includes all materials & tools, crafty companionship, cheezy holiday music, good tidings and great cheer. If you feel inspired,  please bring something for the wassailing table (aka BYOB and/or holiday snack to share).

 

Minimum 5 / Maximum 15 participants.

 

This event is full-spectrum crafting: even if you don't consider yourself crafty/artsy this is entry-level. Also if you are a craft master, you will be able to shine. So you really have no excuse not to come :)

 

***A word about the children…If your child(ren) are able to do crafts with minimal supervision and are likely to want to participate, by all means they are welcome at this open house event. However, there will not be any child-based activities nor should you assume this event is “childproofed” — if your child is not able to be safe/responsible with grown up tools, paints, adult drinks, respectful of off-limits spaces and items, etc. please consider leaving them at home so you can just relax and enjoy some creative play time for yourself :)

Walgrove Elementary Fundraiser

Thursday, November 7th, 2019  6:30-9:30pm

Enjoy a creative evening served with Monarch Margaritas, Enchilada casserole (with vegan option), and all kinds of yummy sides.

 

Bring a Walgrove school shirt, or they will be available for purchase at the event. Then use cuts, braiding/weaving, and sewing to take your school spirit to the next level. We will provide tools, instruction and inspiration!

DONATION:   $35 per person (plus cost of any Walgrove shirts you would like to purchase at the event)
